We are seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing for 500+ employees across the US, Canada, UK, New Zealand, and Australia, This position will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and addressing any payroll-related issues that arise
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize, input, and process payroll for multi-state and international payrolls for salaried and hourly employees ensuring the overall accuracy of employee data including wages, taxes, and deductions
- Audit and manage timecards for hourly non-exempt employees and communicate appropriately regarding deadlines
- Partner with accounting to assist in the processing of accurate and timely quarterly and year-end tax reporting.
- Manage the opening and closure of state and/or local tax accounts.
- Maintain and create records, reports, and documentation in accordance with federal, state, local, and provider regulations.
- Aid with the integration of acquired companies into existing payroll schedules and platforms, as needed.
- Design and maintain accurate documentation and process manuals for all payroll processes
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve the efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations
