Our AP Specialist Accountant will be performing day-to-day accounting operations. This includes owning and managing the company accounts payable & expense reimbursement processes, assisting with financial reporting, audits and month-end close procedures, managing and promoting our company’s charitable reimbursement program, and supporting the entire Finance department. This person will also play a critical role in creating and managing special projects for the department. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a problem solver, self-motivated, a team player, and bring a positive, excited attitude and approach to the team.
What You’ll Do…
- Manage entire AP process for Austin and San Diego offices
- Assist with month-end close process and monthly reporting requirements
- Process employee and company expense reports using the company’s expense reporting software
- Own and manage our company-wide charity matching gift program
- Collaborate with our accounting and finance team to develop and implement continuous process improvements
- Works with other departments to research and resolve account specific issues
- Review and research stale dated checks; prepare stop payments, voids, and reissuance of payments
- Perform ad hoc analyses and projects as needed
- Provide support with audits, 1099 reporting, vendor communication, month end, and year end processes
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately
About You…
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with Intacct and/or Workday a plus
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Detail-oriented and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize to meet time-sensitive deadlines consistently
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to communicate complex information to all levels of the organization
- Self-starter with the ability to work with a sense of urgency without sacrificing accuracy
- This position is preferred to sit in Austin, Texas
