The Social Media Specialist will work on our Corporate Communications team to help manage and execute organic social media campaigns, promote company news and opportunities, and improve industry awareness of AffiniPay and its products. This person is energetic, a clear and concise communicator, a creative problem solver, and an incredible team player.

What You’ll Do…

  • Generate and implement social media strategy for all software, payments and company brands to align with business goals
  • Create unique, engagement driving executions for all brands social media channels
  • Set specific organic social objectives and report on ROI to SVP of Brand
  • Plan, edit, publish and manage all organic social media posts and campaigns
  • Research industry trends and audience preferences and apply learnings to ongoing social media strategy and content
  • Expand social media presence and followers, leveraging social media presence to connect with more customers, potential customers and financial technology influencers
  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics to ensure organic social channels are driving traffic and positive conversation
  • Communicate with followers (customers, partners, brand advocates) and respond to any customer service queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews of product feedback in partnership with customer support and product teams
  • Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment
  • Manage day-to-day activities related to social media. This includes tracking and analysis of social media conversations across various platforms, maintenance of our brands' social media sites and reputation management
  • Work with corp comms to coordinate product and company announcements
  • Stay current and forward thinking on new tools and platforms, best practices and use within the competitive landscape

About You…

  • 3+ years cumulative experience in Social Media Management
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of organic social media best practices on platforms (including but not limited to): LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
  • Experience managing social profiles through Sprout Social
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent copywriting and content writing skills for various industries
  • Ability to multi-task multiple projects
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, PR or other related field preferred
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent networking skills
  • Excels at research, is able to identify trends, threats and opportunities in social media content
  • Sense of urgency and pro-activeness
  • Motivated and curious mind
  • Ability to work within a collaborative, team environment
  • Ability to work in the Austin office 3x/week
  • Ability to attend company events outside of typical working hours
