Job purpose: The FP&A Analyst is an integral position of the Finance Team. They are responsible for performing a full range of activities that will positively impact operations and improve financial monitoring and reporting. This position will report to the VP of Finance and will also work closely with senior management to create budgets, forecasts, monthly reports, and various ad hoc analyses to support strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will be scrappy, have a bias for action, and have a deep commitment to growth and learning.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Conduct financial analysis and reporting for the business area, including revenue/expense forecasting and monthly variance analysis.
  • Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts and use insights to drive meaningful action and communicate complex issues in a clear and concise way.
  • Work on building/expanding financial and operational reporting capabilities that provide leadership with key insights about the business and help drive the right business decisions.
  • Develop high quality Presentations and Reporting for Management and Board of Directors.
  • Build and maintain the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and strategic, long range plans
  • Jump in on ad hoc analysis and other business projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required
  • 1-5 years of experience from investment banking, management consulting, asset management, or internal corporate finance.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years experience in a SaaS company
  • Accounting/GAAP knowledge
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in Sage Intacct a plus
  • Exceptional analytical skills and business acumen; you are data-driven, curious, and hungry to improve the business
  • Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion are required
  • Strong presence with the ability to interact with Senior Leadership
  • Intellectual curiosity with a desire to understand and solve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Detail oriented, able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
