We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Risk Specialist to lead the implementation and oversight of our Group Risk Management framework in Luxembourg. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with local regulations (CSSF, AIFMD, etc.) and aligning with Group-wide policies. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational, regulatory, and financial risks, while contributing to strategic decision-making and promoting a strong risk culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Framework Implementation: Ensure full compliance with Group Risk Management policies and local regulatory requirements
- Operational Risk Management: Identify, assess, mitigate, and report operational risks to protect organizational stability
- Control Effectiveness: Conduct regular evaluations of controls and update risk registers to reflect emerging threats
- Strategic Support: Provide risk analysis and recommendations to the Business Review Committee and support new product initiatives
- Risk Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate reports on financial and non-financial risks using the Apex Group Risk Framework
- Risk Monitoring: Develop and track key risk indicators to enable proactive risk management
- Business Continuity: Lead Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to ensure operational resilience
- Third-Party Oversight: Monitor and manage risks related to outsourced activities and third-party providers
- Risk Culture Development: Promote risk awareness and deliver targeted training across the organization
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in risk management or financial services; ERM or fund services expertise preferred
- Strong knowledge of risk frameworks and product risk assessment
- Experience with digital assets is a plus
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to lead in a high-control, compliance-driven environment
- Familiarity with Luxembourg laws and regulations is desirable
- Professional certifications such as FRM or CFA are advantageous
