Position Summary

The Vice President, Project Manager – Fund Accounting Services will lead strategic initiatives and transformation programs across the Fund Accounting division. This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, system integration, and process optimization across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between executive leadership, operational teams, and technology, ensuring that projects align with Apex global growth strategy and client service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic and complex projects within Fund Accounting, including system migrations, operating model redesign, and process automation.
  • Partner with senior executives to define project vision, business objectives, scope, and success metrics.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle – from initiation and planning to implementation, testing, and post-delivery stabilization.
  • Manage multi-disciplinary teams across Fund Accounting, Technology, Client Onboarding, Risk, Compliance, and Change Management.
  • Implement strong project governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and standardization across global fund accounting operations.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and provide transparent reporting on project status, risks, and dependencies to senior leadership.
  • Mentor project managers and analysts, promoting best practices in project execution and delivery discipline.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • 8–10+ years of progressive experience in fund administration, financial services, or asset management, including 5+ years in project management or transformation leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of fund accounting processes, including NAV calculation, reconciliations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise-level projects and cross-border teams within a fast-paced financial environment.
  • Familiarity with fund accounting systems (e.g., eFront, Yardi, Paxus, Investran) would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing operational improvements, automation, or large-scale migrations.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification preferred.
