Job Summary
- An ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of proven experience leading and managing teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehensive expertise in Reference Data Management, Trade Processing, Security Setup, Security Pricing, and Corporate Actions is essential.
- The role requires a dynamic, results-driven professional with the ability to adapt to complex challenges and deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with business objectives.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to accurately manage deliverables within established timelines are crucial for this position.
- The candidate should demonstrate sound judgment and tactical acumen when navigating daily operational issues. Exceptional communication skills and a competitive edge in building relationships with stakeholders worldwide are key to succeeding in this role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee a team responsible for executing trade operations activities, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to organizational standards.
- Manage the process of Security Master setups for both listed and OTC instruments, including support of daily business-as-usual deliverables as required.
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and streamline workflows within the department.
- Maintain and update the team’s capacity matrix on a quarterly basis, ensuring full-time equivalent (FTE) savings are achieved in line with established objectives.
- Utilize hands-on expertise with leading market data vendors such as Bloomberg, IDC, Refinitiv, Markit, and other relevant providers to support operational activities.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability for all processes under purview, promoting a culture of responsibility and continuous improvement.
- Develop, maintain, and regularly update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reflect current practices and ensure high-quality documentation.
- Oversee error tracking, conduct regular reviews, and provide comprehensive reports during monthly KPI reviews to inform management and improve accuracy.
- Set clear objectives for team members and conduct mid-year and year-end performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and ratings consistent with organizational guidelines.
- Document trade file mapping requirements for new and existing clients, collaborating with internal stakeholders (Analytics, Client Services Managers) and external clients to automate trade upload processes as necessary.
- Apply strong knowledge across multiple asset types, including equities, fixed income securities, and derivatives, with expertise in bank loans regarded as a valuable asset.
- Maintain proficiency in corporate actions including dividends, splits, and spin-offs to ensure accurate processing and reporting.
- Provide ongoing support and assistance to supervisors, auditors, and fund accountants on operational matters as required
Qualification & Experience required
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, Investment Banking or a related financial discipline.
- Over 12 years’ proven experience in Managing trade processing operations, corporate actions, pricing, and security setup/reference data management within a financial institution.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Deep operational expertise in financial institutions, especially in hedge fund administration, is highly preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of Fund Accounting applications such as Paxus and Advent Geneva would be a added advantage.
- Demonstrate flexibility with shift timings and willingness to accommodate changing operational needs.
- Strong analytical prowess, attention to detail, and outstanding service commitment.
