Role summary:

This role acts as an international Corporate Officer, supporting the Netherlands jurisdiction within Apex Corporate Solutions from our GSC in Valencia (Spain).

This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, specifically created to help reduce the existing backlog of corporate governance and compliance tasks within the CoSec department.

As a member of the COSEC Team, you will collaborate with colleagues to deliver a broad spectrum of administrative, compliance, and regulatory services for the Netherlands jurisdiction to clients and clients’ managers.

You will support the legal and compliance framework of our licensed financial-services business. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the firm meets its ongoing regulatory and corporate obligations, with a strong emphasis on conducting periodic reviews of client files, assessing adherence to regulatory standards, and supporting remediation.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional comfortable navigating complex regulatory environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct periodic and ad hoc reviews of client files, assessing the completeness and accuracy of KYC, due-diligence, and onboarding documentation.

  • Identify regulatory gaps or inconsistencies and recommend corrective actions.

  • Support remediation of incomplete or outdated documentation in consultation with the responsible Client Service Manager.

  • Maintaining statutory documents of the client entity served, e.g:

    • Articles of association/incorporation of the entity concerned.

    • The structure chart(s), applying to the entity concerned.

    • The records of the Chamber of Commerce.

  • Analyzing risk and compliance queries.

  • Providing accurate and timely information to other stakeholders in accordance with agreed deadlines.

  • Assisting other colleagues in the day-to-day work.

Skills / experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably within the corporate or financial service industry.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English – Dutch is a plus.

  • Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver under tight deadlines.

  • High level of professionalism, ethical standards, and discretion.

  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a dynamic team, with a sense of responsibility and commitment.

  • Motivated, reliable, decisive and persuasive.

  • Good organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to identify compliance risks and provide advice to mitigate risks.

  • Organized and accurate in working methodologies with an eye for the detail and ability to work in a cross functional stakeholder environment.

  • Discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
