Senior Risk Analyst
Location : Melbourne / Brisbane
This role is responsible for supporting the risk framework for the superannuation business, ensuring robust risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies to protect both company and client interests, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of the risk management framework tailored to superannuation and Group frameworks
Identify and evaluate financial, operational, and regulatory risks across superannuation processes
Develop and recommend risk mitigation strategies to address identified risks, such as fraud, data breaches, or non-compliance with SIS Act or AML/CTF regulations
Prepare risk reports and dashboards for senior management, providing insights into key risk indicators (KRIs) and emerging risks impacting superannuation operations
Ensure risk management practices comply with superannuation regulations, including the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act, Corporations Act, and APRA/ASIC guidelines
Contribute to investigations into risk incidents or breaches, coordinating with first line teams to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence
Promote a risk-aware culture by delivering training and guidance to staff on risk management practices specific to superannuation administration
Conduct assurance reviews of the controls framework, including stress testing and scenario analysis to assess control weaknesses and business disruption tolerances
Drive enhancements to risk management processes, leveraging technology and data analytics to improve risk monitoring and reporting efficiency
Skills required:
Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience the superannuation industry
RG146 General Advice in Superannuation qualified and maintained
In-depth understanding of superannuation regulations (SIS Act, Corporations Act), APRA’s risk management standard), and AML/CTF obligations
Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance concepts and software (GRC
