The Role & Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of the pipeline for the Mauritian and African markets, working in collaboration with the Head of Business Development, relevant Country Heads and all other Sales, CRM, Client Services and Product team.
- Assist in sourcing and developing relationships with client prospects, securing, and leading pitches and winning new business.
- Assist in marketing the Apex Single-Source solution with a view to deepening the network and securing referrals.
- Disseminate Apex’s USP including consideration of any jurisdictional context and positioning.
- Prepare accurate and compelling proposals for prospects while ensuring a broad coverage of Apex’s single-source solution. Ensure timely and constant follow up for proposals sent.
- Assist in securing and executing an intermediary / referrer plan, attending meetings and securing referrals of new business.
- Update Salesforce with all meetings, targets identified, events. Ensures accurate and active maintenance of pipeline on Salesforce and attend the Sales calls to provide briefings.
- Travel as required to the relevant jurisdictions to meet with intermediaries and prospects.
- Assist with event organization, marketing strategy, thought leadership, market intelligence.
- Assist in ensuring all local marketing information is up to date and in line with Group guidance.
- Collaborates with other internal counterparties to identify and follow up on cross selling opportunities in order to assist with cross selling sales targets.
- Ensures compliance with applicable laws, service standards, company policies, and procedures and agreed operational and control processes.
- Ensures that all client related fiduciary and administrative duties are undertaken in a timely and effective basis.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Business Development, Client Relationship Management, Sales, or Financial Services, ideally within the Mauritian or African markets.
