Role Overview
The Product Analytics & Insights Specialist is the analytics partner to the Product Management function. The role owns Product Management dashboards and performance views, supports governance and initiative prioritisation through pre- and post-implementation reporting, and tracks product commercial readiness and enablement progress through clear status reporting and post-launch monitoring.
Key deliverables include a core set of dashboards and a recurring governance pack that summarises product performance, initiative progress and readiness status.
This role focuses on dashboards, KPIs and governance reporting, working closely with the Catalogue & Pricing Specialist who owns catalogue, rate card and margin reference data and related system changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Management Dashboards & KPIs
- Own Product Management dashboards and recurring reporting on product performance and adoption, with clear, consistent KPI definitions used in governance materials.
- Translate stakeholder questions into clear reporting views and actionable insights.
- Maintain reporting standards, definitions and documentation to ensure consistent interpretation across teams.
- Initiative Reporting for Governance (Pre- and Post-Implementation)
- Provide analysis for initiative governance and prioritisation discussions (pipeline views, expected impact, progress tracking).
- Produce post-implementation reporting that measures outcomes versus expectations and highlights follow-up actions.
- Maintain the existing proposal and margin analytics capability used in commercial governance and contribute to the longer-term integration of these insights into Salesforce.
- Commercial Readiness, Enablement Tracking & Post-Launch Monitoring
- Maintain product commercial readiness status reporting for new or changed products (owners, milestones, gaps, timelines and closure tracking).
- Build and maintain dashboards that track progress and outcomes of product enablement initiatives (for example training completion, content readiness and adoption indicators), and highlight gaps requiring follow-up, with a view to supporting adoption and commercial outcomes.
- Track readiness and enablement gaps through to closure (owners, timelines, follow-ups) and highlight items requiring escalation.
- Monitor early adoption and post-launch performance and flag issues that suggest gaps in documentation, workflows, pricing logic or enablement, supporting prioritised follow-up with the relevant owners.
- Data Collaboration and Quality (Analytics Perspective)
- Work with Technology and data teams to ensure datasets are reliable, refreshed and consistent with agreed definitions.
- Partner with the Catalogue & Pricing Specialist to align reference data, mappings and definitions; raise data issues with evidence and support root-cause resolution at source.
- Continuously improve dashboard usability and clarity based on stakeholder feedback.
- Automation and AI enablement
- Build and maintain Power Automate workflows to streamline recurring reporting and governance processes (data refresh, alerts, approvals, follow-ups).
- Create and manage AI agents to support analytics and reporting activities (data extraction, summarisation, commentary, action tracking), with appropriate testing, access controls and monitoring.
Skills and Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in analytics, BI or data roles, ideally with exposure to product or commercial topics in financial services or other B2B environments.
- Strong skills in BI and data visualisation tools (for example Power BI or similar) and comfort working with complex datasets.
- Comfortable working with commercial data from sales platforms (for example Salesforce or comparable tools).
- Ability to convert data into clear insights and recommendations, and to communicate them in a practical, action-oriented way.
- Strong organisation skills, attention to detail and discipline around recurring reporting, definitions and documentation.
