Workday M&A Analyst

The Workday M&A Analyst supports the successful integration of acquired companies and new locations into our Workday environment.

Key Responsibilities

Due Diligence

  • Review HR data and requirements from target companies & locations for compatibility with current Workday environment.
  • Assess organizational structures, compensation plans, benefits, and processes.
  • Identify integration risks, data gaps, and system impacts.
  • Support planning for Day 1 readiness and post‑close integration.

Workday System Integration

  • Map acquired company data to Workday objects (supervisory orgs, job profiles, cost centers, positions, locations).
  • Support configuration updates across Workday HCM.
  • Execute EIB data loads, data transformation, and validation.
  • Participate in testing cycles (smoke testing, UAT) to ensure accurate system behavior.

Data Migration & Quality Assurance

  • Troubleshoot data issues with HRIS and functional teams.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and to align activities.
  • Support change‑management efforts, including documentation and training where necessary.

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Hands‑on experience with Workday HCM (Core HCM, Compensation, Absence, Recruiting). Absence and Time Tracking would be preferred.
  • Proficiency with EIBs, data loads, reporting, and business processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capability.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
  • Ability to work in fast‑paced, M&A environments.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Education & Experience

  • Experience in HRIS, Workday administration and M&A integration preferred.
  • Proficiency in Absence and Time Tracking modules would be extremely beneficial.
  • Prior involvement in acquisition onboarding or system integrations is a strong plus.
