SQL Reporting Analyst
Location : Makati (Manila), Philippines
Description
This role is a technical role within the Investor Experience team that is responsible for translating complex data into accurate reports and data extracts. You will design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards that support investor communications and reporting obligations, decision-making, and business growth.
Working closely with the Investor Experience team, you will ensure reporting outputs are robust, user-friendly, and aligned with business needs. Strong SQL and data modelling expertise are essential.
Job specification
Design, build, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualisations using SQL and Snowflake (or equivalent).
Design and develop advanced SSRS reports, Power BI dashboards to visualize complex datasets, ensuring high performance and user-friendly interfaces.
Ensure data integrity by managing schemas, relationships, data flows, and quality controls.
Document reporting logic, data sources, and definitions, maintaining version control.
Monitor report accuracy, perform validation and quality checks, and resolve anomalies.
Optimise report performance, streamline existing outputs, and automate where possible.
Promoting best practice standards, conducting code peer reviews and ensuring effective knowledge sharing.
Ability to break down complex deliverables into stages of work and provide estimates to internal and external stakeholders.
Skills Required:
Strong proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience across large datasets.
Experience with Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouse) including data modelling and sharing.
Familiarity with BI/reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, BusinessObjects).
Strong understanding of data modelling, schemas, and data lineage.
Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical detail to non-technical audiences.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to test and validate results.
Ability to manage multiple reporting projects, ad-hoc requests, and client deliverables.
Experience in reporting, BI, or data solutions role, ideally in financial services, fund administration, or regulated environments.
Demonstrated experience delivering compliance or regulatory reports.
Proven track record working in cross-functional teams, with ownership from requirements through to delivery.
