Role: Junior Payroll Consultant
Role Location: Lisbon (Portugal)
Employment Type: Permanent
Role summary:
As a junior payroll consultant, you’ll support the full payroll cycle for a variety of clients, handle onboarding and offboarding tasks, prepare monthly and statutory reports, and help ensure all compliance requirements are met. You’ll also gain exposure to fund setup processes, including risk management and data‑quality topics, making it a great opportunity to build strong payroll and HR operations skills in a supportive, learning‑focused environment.
Key responsibilities:
Performing tasks inherent to payroll processing for various companies that are part of our client portfolio.
Preparing reporting obligations after the monthly closing of payroll processing.
Onboarding and setup of all formalities regarding admissions and/or leavers.
Preparing the Single Report and its respective annexes.
Assisting clients in fund setup in relation to risk management and valuation aspects, data standards and monitoring topics.
Skills / experience:
Higher education in Human Resources Management, Administration, Corporate Finance or related fields (preferably covering topics related to payroll processing in the curriculum).
Approximately 1 year of experience in payroll (preferably in consulting), including support in employee admission and termination processes, and the Single Report.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
Experience working with ERP systems, specifically in human resources and/or payroll modules.
Knowledge of labor, tax and social security legislation.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Communicative and who has good organizational skills, teamwork and motivation to learn.
