Role summary:
As an AML/KYA Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our client onboarding and due‑diligence processes. You’ll review and maintain KYC information, support investment advisors, and collaborate closely with Compliance to resolve any escalations. This role involves managing investigations, enhancing internal tools and processes, coordinating efforts with junior team members, and acting as a trusted point of contact for AML/KYC‑related queries. You’ll help drive continuous improvement while ensuring we meet regulatory standards and deliver a seamless client experience.
Job Specification:
Review and screen counterparties participating in a transaction in our internal databases.
Work closely with investment advisors to assess the KYC/AML information and follow up for missing information.
Maintenance of KYC information in the AIFM records.
Working closely with the Compliance team to solve the issues if escalations have been identified.
Manage outstanding queries/investigations and requests.
Assisting management in setting up and maintaining internal KPIs and KYC/AML, and risk rating tools.
Monitor the innovations in KYA, both in terms of regulatory obligations and requirements as well as industry-standards.
Taking ownership of and driving changes to existing processes in place to provide clients with the best experience.
Coordinate the KYA effort with junior members.
Ensure urgent, sensitive matters are escalated appropriately to Portfolio Management and/or Compliance.
Acting as a point of escalation for the Portfolio Management Team on any AML/KYC related queries.
Profile we are looking for:
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
You have at least 2 years’ experience in compliance and/or/AML KYC, possibly in the investment funds industry.
You have the knowledge, understanding and experience of the importance of AML/KYC for the AIFM.
You have followed industry training courses relevant to the position or hold relevant certifications.
You are fluent in English (Knowledge of French and/or German will be considered an asset together with any other EU languages).
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint. knowing how to use Factiva would be an asset.
You have good communication skills with a can-do attitude
