Senior Unit Pricing Analyst

Location : Auckland

Description

As a Senior Unit Pricing Analyst within our New Zealand funds administration team, the role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of unit pricing for a diverse range of investment funds. This position demands meticulous analysis and reconciliation of fund data, requiring a high degree of precision and a thorough understanding of financial markets.

Job specification

  • Prepare and review the unit prices of our Client’s Investment Funds, including the analysis of inputs to unit pricing and investigation of unexplained variances

  • Prepare or review daily reconciliations, investigating and clearing differences in a timely manner

  • Assist with the preparation and review of performance reporting and other reporting as required

  • Ensure consistent achievement of all service delivery standards, including client SLA requirements, for the Unit Pricing division

  • Prepare and review the taxable income of our Client’s Investment Funds

  • Annual financial statements – assist in the preparation of client annual financial statements

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of controls and processes that maintains a strong control environment and industry best practice

  • Assist the team with supporting the controls assurance and financial statement audits

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients including providing timely responses to queries

  • Identify and implement process changes to improve efficiency within the team

  • Crosstrain with other team members and seek to grow and share your knowledge of Fund Administration

  • Team player who is prepared to assist others when required

  • Other ad-hoc tasks required to support the team / team leader

Skills Required:

  • Relevant experience with a proven track record

  • A degree majoring in Finance or Accounting preferred

  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and data analysis

  • Understanding of securities and trading processes, enhancing data analysis

  • Quick learner and problem solver, adept at adapting and implementing solutions
