Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strong understanding of SWIFT message types (MT103, MT202), FED payments, internal transfers, and FX transactions.
  • Knowledge of ABA, Sort Code, BSB, BIC, IBAN, RTGS, NEFT, and various global banking codes and cash settlement methods.
  • Hands-on experience in manual payments/wires with a clear understanding of end-to-end payment flow.
  • Ability to read and interpret Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) and identify missing or incorrect information.
  • Vendor payment processing: fund-related invoice verification and execution of payments using banking portals.
  • Verification of custody and fund-related bank invoices.
  • Well-versed with payments pertaining to subscriptions and redemptions.
  • Mailbox monitoring and payment prioritization as per currency cut-offs.
  • Support for various global locations in daily payments processing requirements.
  • Handling client and local office queries via call and email.
  • Ensuring timely completion and sign-off of daily operational tasks.
  • Regular reporting and escalation of significant issues or roadblocks to management.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work in any shift.
  • Prior experience in Payments/Banking/Treasury/Transfer Agency preferred.
  • Experience in handling end-to-end Treasury/Payments activities.
  • Experience in leading teams of 10+ members.
  • Strong proficiency in creating and maintaining MIS reports.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or MBA or an equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of Hedge Funds and Private Equity is an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in FED and SWIFT payments.
  • Total experience of 7+ years in managing FX/Payments processing, investigations, and related activities.
  • Overall experience required: 10–14 years of relevant operations experience.
