Description
We are looking for an organized, efficient sales development specialist to be responsible for sales origination activities and assist the sales department in gaining and keeping new prospective clients. The sales support specialist's responsibilities include tracking sales leads, helping with the coordinating quotes with sales packs, providing customer service, and managing and initiating prospective client lists. The sales support specialist is also responsible for monitoring sales and the performance of the sales team as well as recording sales data which is centrally managed through our CRM systems.
To be a successful sales support specialist, you should have good time management and organizational skills. You should also demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. We are also looking for creative individuals who can look at existing processes and help find new ways to generate sales activity.
Job Specification
- Follow up with inbound and outbound prospects via phone, email, and LinkedIn to uncover fit, needs, and potential value.
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound qualification and outbound outreach.
- Qualify prospects through consultative selling, leveraging BANT criteria to assess need, budget, authority, and timeline.
- Grow the top of the sales funnel through warm and cold outbound campaigns.
- Partner closely with Business Development Managers to hand off qualified opportunities and ensure a smooth buyer experience.
- Research companies, identify new leads, and add prospects to targeted outbound lists.
- Maintain accurate client and prospect data within Salesforce and other sales tools.
- Capture insights from conversations to inform sales plays, product updates, and team development.
- Experiment with new channels, messaging, and automation to increase conversion and efficiency.
- Work effectively within a mix of structure and ambiguity, executing repeatable processes while continuously improving them.
Skills Required
- 1–2 years of experience in Sales, SDR, or BDR roles (or strong curiosity and drive if early in career).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences.
- Excellent listening skills and energetic, confident phone presence.
- High level of comfort with sales prospecting tools, CRM systems (including Salesforce), and marketing workflows.
- Motivated by learning, experimentation, and continuous performance improvement.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow up, follow through, and manage multiple outreach activities.
- Interest in understanding customer business challenges and applying consultative selling approaches.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a high sense of urgency and ability to thrive in evolving or undefined processes.
- Enthusiasm for modern sales technology, AI tools, and next‑generation GTM approaches.

Salary ranges from USD $45,000.00 – USD $70,000.00. Compensation within this range is dependent on individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
