Application Integration Platform Support Engineer

Role Location: India, Pune

Department: IT

Employment Type: Full Time Permanent

Role Purpose:

The role of the Application Integration Support Engineer will be part of the Group IT Application Support team within the Apex and report to the Integration Platform Support Manager.

The successful candidate will join a team working on application integration projects, focused on BAU support for application and system integrations. The role will provide and maintain high quality of internal service for Company core and support applications, building strong relationships with technical and Business teams.

He/she must have experience working on integration services, understand design documentation and technical solutions.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for integrations across number of applications in APEX Group.
  • Implement, maintain, and improve integrations across multiple applications in APEX Group.
  • Support and maintenance of new and existing interfaces between core line of business and supporting applications to gain benefits such as optimizing business and IT processes.
  • Prioritization and resolution of incident tickets including troubleshooting and investigating root causes.
  • Working as part of a global team to provide monitoring and technical support to system and application integrations.
  • Maintain operational availability of the application integrations.
  • Setup and maintain real-time monitoring for the integration performance.
  • Use automation tools like Kusto Scripting, Prometheus and Terraform.
  • Liaising with the product owners, software development, DBA, architecture, and vendor teams regarding application integrations.
  • Support project related tasks, such as application upgrades; new application integrations or changes in the existing integration solutions.
  • Adhere to the change management procedures.
  • Create and maintain good level of documentation and knowledge base.
  • Assist with creation/updating of policy documents for application integrations.
  • Troubleshoot Azure Windows & Linux AKS related issues & Perform activities such as Linux.
  • Strong knowledge with Terraform for deployment in the Azure Log Analytic workspace to monitor VM’s performance such as CPU, Storage, and RAM /Memory utilization.
  • Configure Azure recovery services vault for the VM’s, backup schedule and its restoration policies.
  • Configure Key vaults to maintain and secure secrets, keys and server & application certificates.
  • Configure patch deployment schedules for AKS Servers through Azure Update.
  • Job creation on Service Bus Data bricks environment and assist them with starting & stopping the cluster nodes during the application upgrade and deployment.
  • Configure Azure Storage account, create Blob container, file share & provision (SAS) shared access.
  • Define budget alerts for azure subscriptions, forecast the budgets and configure action groups for the mail notification.
  • Define & manage alerts to monitor the system and application performance in Azure Monitor.
  • Manage users, groups and role-based access on the Azure Active Directory Services.
  • Create and maintain system administration documents reports for troubleshooting and exception handling.
  • Manage day-to-day activity of the cloud environment, supporting development teams with their requirements.
  • Configure the custom logs to monitor the performance of on-premises servers through Log Analytics workspace.
  • Responsible for incident management i.e. troubleshooting and leading critical or urgent issues on email infrastructure and driving them to resolution as per the agreed SLAs with customer.
  • Manage and coordinate end-to-end activities during overall (Critical & High) incident life cycle (Incident response, incident resolution, service restoration as per SLA).
  • Providing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and defining action items accordingly.
  • Regular participation in client meeting to understand the scopes and to deliver the requirements.

Skills Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in providing development and support for application interfaces and integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Azure and Azure integration services.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Azure Logic Apps, Azure API Management, Service Bus, AKS, Key Vault, etc.
  • Experience working with a service desk tool.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent time management and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English written and verbal.
  • 3rd Level IT Qualification.
  • Experience working as a part of a team.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft technologies such as IIS, SQL and .NET.
  • Experience in supporting core line business applications.
  • Background in the financial Industry preferable.
  • ITIL certification.

Qualifications:

  • Batchelor Degree Level education or equivalent qualifications/work experience
  • ITIL qualification is a plus.
  • Azure foundation qualification (AZ-900)
