Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and validate required financial data for bookkeeping and preparation of periodic primary financial statements, including:

    • Profit & Loss Account
    • Balance Sheet
    • Cash Flow Statements
    • Supporting notes and disclosures
  • Analyze bank transactions and process/review them using accounting platforms and MS Excel.

  • Analyze, process, and review invoices, expenses, and other accounting transactions.

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of:

    • Accrued and prepaid expenses
    • Fixed Asset Register (FAR)
    • Asset revaluations
  • Understand and account for cash movements, capital transactions, and dividend distributions.

  • Reconcile Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including inter-company transactions.

  • Assist in trial balance finalization and period-end closing activities.

  • Prepare and review periodic management accounts under multiple GAAP frameworks, primarily:

    • IFRS
    • Indian GAAP
  • Handle payroll accounting, including:

    • Posting payroll-related journal entries
    • VAT/GST calculations and return filings
  • Effectively understand, analyze, and resolve queries raised by:

    • Onshore teams
    • Clients
    • Auditors
    • Directors / Senior stakeholders

Qualification & Experience

  • Educational Qualification (any one of the following):

    • CA, CPA, ACCA
    • MBA (Finance)
    • CFA
    • Any specialized course in Accounting/Finance
  • Experience:

    • 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience
    • Prior exposure to IFRS and/or Indian GAAP is preferred

Skills Required

  • Strong foundational and technical accounting knowledge.

  • Excellent understanding of journal entries and accounting principles.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.

  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when required.

  • Proficient in MS Office tools, with mandatory expertise in:

    • MS Excel
    • MS Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good knowledge of capital markets, including:

    • Derivatives
    • Private Equity funds
    • Hedge Funds
