Revenue Strategy Lead

Description

The Revenue Strategy Lead is responsible for defining, governing, and operationalizing the company’s global revenue architecture. This role aligns enterprise strategy with execution, oversees global revenue programs, and ensures disciplined, data-driven commercial performance.

Job specification

The role will focus on primarily supporting revenue executives supporting strategic initiatives and act as a strategic advisor guiding decision making including guiding business partners on implementing the wider corporate strategy. Primary focus will be on execution to ensure successful performance against targets.

1. Global Revenue Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Translate enterprise strategy into a unified global revenue roadmap; govern global GTM frameworks including segmentation, coverage, and motions; ensure global coherence across product marketing, brand, and regional execution.

2. Executive Advisory & Strategic Integration

  • Serve as strategic advisor to executive revenue leadership; lead development of executive materials, decision frameworks, and market analysis; convert executive directives into cross-functional execution.
  • Partner with revenue leadership setting goals, KPIs, targets and success metrics.

3. Commercial Planning, Forecasting & Investment Governance

  • Own & drive Sales’ global planning cycles, long-range modeling, OKRs/KPIs, forecasting alignment, and investment governance to ensure high-ROI resource allocation.
  • Identify performance gaps, track progress and support course correction to achieve the annual plan.

4. Rhythm of Business & Global Governance

  • Run the global Revenue Strategy RoB; oversee governance, cadence structures, dashboards, procurement workflows, and compliance documentation.
  • Deliver on strategic projects to support transformation of the wider revenue strategy and governance team where necessary.

5. Cross-Functional Leadership & Operating Model Optimization

  • Partner with product, marketing, sales, finance, ops, and regional leaders to align execution; define decision rights and improve commercial operating models.
  • Influence decision making, partner with other revenue strategies and governance teams to improve reporting, tools and platforms. Provide subject matter expertise in setting the roadmap for tooling and analytics needs.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, embody a high-performance culture and help set the standards for what good looks like.

6. Organizational Development & Workforce Planning

  • Define operating charters, identify capability gaps, lead workforce planning, strengthen leadership systems, and support a high-performance culture.
  • Drive annual planning for business partners take leadership of specific work streams in the annual planning cycle where necessary.

Success Outcomes

A globally aligned revenue strategy, predictable revenue engine, strong program adoption, unified executive narrative, ROI-positive investments, and scalable operating models. Support the delivery against revenue targets and ensuring forecasting accuracy inside 10%.

Skills Required:

  • 9 - 15+ years’ experience in revenue/sales strategy, sales/revenue operations, commercial management, or business management roles
  • Strong background in financial services, asset management, funds, or adjacent regulated environments
  • Proven experience operating across multiple geographies and complex sales structures
  • Deep understanding of sales motions, CRM-led execution, forecasting, and revenue governance
  • Exceptional ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and executional levels
  • Experience working with Salesforce and enterprise CRM ecosystems strongly preferred
  • Understands the business and its challenges and can translate business needs into HR solutions.
