Role summary:
A Senior Loans Manager at Apex Group supports the full lifecycle of loan transactions, from deal closing through ongoing administration. The role focuses on accurate loan servicing, interest and payment calculations, timely execution of settlements, and effective coordination with borrowers, lenders, and internal teams. It also involves monitoring compliance with financing agreements, supporting junior team members, and contributing to process and system improvements to ensure a high standard of client service.


Key responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the review of the financing Agreements and in closing deals.

  • Administration and bookkeeping of the transactions.

  • Setting of interest periods and reference interest rates applicable to each period.

  • Ensure that client responsibilities are managed effectively and to agreed client, best practice, regulatory and statutory deadlines.

  • Calculate settlements / amounts to be paid by the borrowers and lenders in accordance with the agreements such as fees, interest, and principal repayments/redemptions;

  • Management of communications / to be delivered to the borrowers and lenders, and the different Loan Admin. departments, according to the financing Agreements.

  • Coordinate, organize and participate in meetings and conference calls required by the day-to-day management of the Agency Department.

  • Coordinate, manage and register the communications and issues raised among borrowers, lenders, obligors and advisers of the Financing.

  • Execute the instructions to make payments, on each payment date, according to the financing Agreement.

  • Monitor and control the periodic or one-off compliance by the borrower of all obligations and compulsory actions and milestones set forth in the financing agreements.

  • Coordinate the agency duties with the Loan Agency Team and support the activity of the Loan Agency Team when required.

  • Support and training of more junior members of the Team.

  • Cooperate with IT team in developing in-house software.

  • Management and coordination of Syndicated Guarantees Facilities, Factoring Facilities or any other Product offered by Apex Loan Agency Team.

Skills & experience needed:

  • Some relevant experience in the banking / financial / legal advisory sector (experience in the banking sector is a plus).

  • Excellent work attitude, quick and willing learner and proficient team player.

  • Experience in Syndicated Loan Administration, ideally in agency management as well as in the review of financing contracts; knowledge of LMA contracts, calculations of loans settlements, management of participations, etc.

  • B2 minimum English level is a must.

  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism.

  • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize tasks accordingly.

  • Ability to take initiative and multitasking.

  • Strong work ethic, a proactive approach and can-do mindset.

  • Willingness to learn and get relevant experience in the syndicated loans sector.
