ART is a fast-growing business and we are looking for a Junior Quantitative Developer to join our team in Barcelona. In this role, you will liaise with Portfolio Managers, Risk Managers and Investment Analysts to onboard their funds in RiskMonitor®, develop bespoke solutions and be involved in the daily maintenance of their accounts. In addition, you will closely work with the quantitative development team in Barcelona and Apex technology management colleagues globally to ensure the successful evolution of the ART business unit within Apex. Lastly, you will collaborate with business partners, technology vendors, client counterparties, and colleagues within the Apex Group. This role would suit someone who’s seeking a career in finance and technology with a keen and demonstrable interest in quantitative finance.

Job responsibilities:

• Key Development Initiatives

• Annex IV and Form PF. Refactor and further develop existing code base and solutions to facilitate best in class stand-alone solutions

• New report parts and analyses. Liaise with clients to understand requests and their feasibility

• Product & Operations Liaison

• Performance analysis reconciliation (Performance, Factsheet metrics, Contribution/Attribution, Exposures, etc.)

• Work with colleagues from Apex Offices globally to ensure correct liaison and delivery including but not limited to BAU across restriction queries, report related queries, admin issues

• Ensure that methodology is well explained, present RiskMonitor® new features to clients, and assist both clients and colleagues from other Apex Offices during the onboarding phase

• Coordination and liaison on VaR, performance, market risk and liquidity risk metrics

• Partner and client liaison

• Support general client and partner initiatives globally

Role Requirements:

• Working knowledge of MATLAB and SQL Server

• Demonstrable source control experience ideally with both GIT and SVN

• Good business acumen and sound finance knowledge

• Excellent communication skills (English)
