Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of SWIFT messages such as MT103, MT202, as well as FED payments, internal transfers, and FX transactions.
- Possess sound knowledge of ABA, Sort Code, BSB, BIC, IBAN, RTGS, NEFT, and other global banking codes and settlement methods.
- Have prior experience working in a manual payments/wires processing environment with clear understanding of end‑to‑end payment flows.
- Review and interpret Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) and identify discrepancies such as missing or incorrect details.
- Verify fund‑related vendor invoices and process payments through relevant banking portals.
- Perform custody and fund‑related bank invoice verification.
- Be well‑versed with payments related to subscriptions and redemptions.
- Monitor shared mailboxes and prioritize payments based on currency‑specific cut‑off times.
- Provide day‑to‑day payments support to global locations, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Respond to queries from clients and local offices through calls and emails.
- Ensure all daily processing tasks are completed accurately and signed off within defined timelines.
- Escalate significant issues, risks, or bottlenecks promptly to the manager.
- Work collaboratively as a team player, multitask effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Display strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be flexible to work in any shift timing as per business requirements.
- Prior experience in Payments, Banking, or Treasury operations is an advantage.
- Experience in Transfer Agency functions will be an added advantage.
