Position: Account Manager
Location: Melbourne
About the role:
Responsible for overseeing a team of Offshore team involved in the areas of Registry services, shareholder/unitholder reporting and AML/KYC. The individual will maintain the client relationship, take responsibility for co-ordination of regulatory reporting along with the new client take on and due diligence requirements of the company.
Job Responsibilities:
The role duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
Investor Services:
- Ensure team meets all Regulatory and Client reporting deadlines
- Review of investor onboarding documents to ensure AML/KYC compliance
- Review of capital calls and distribution calculation and notices
- Understanding distribution tax information and quality check distribution summaries
- Operational onboarding of new and take on funds and ensure everything has been prepared prior to the launch and take on date
- Ensure the high standard of quality assurance on all applications, redemptions, switches and transfers from the offshore team is adhere to
- Quality check and distribute periodic, quarterly, distribution and exit statements to investors and clients within SLA’s
- Resolve issues and communicate with investors ensuring all investor information is complete and up to date
- Reviewing, clearing and signing off bank reconciliations
- Review and release investor distribution and redemption payments
- Ensure Calastone transactions including daily reconciliations and issue resolution is completed by the team
- Understanding and reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual distributions
Operations
- Overall responsibility for client relationships, inquiries and meetings
- Interact with Senior management and clients
- Solving operational problems encountered by staff on a day to day basis as well as making complex decision making
- Review procedures and recommend solutions in order to improve efficiencies
- Ensure adherence to all internal and external audit standards
- Preparation and review of client SLA
- Attendance in client meetings both at onboarding and launched stages.
- Ongoing Implementation and refinement of SSAE 18 controls.
- Authorisation of payments via bank portals.
- Supervision and training of Transfer Registry Staff and mentoring
Skills Required:
- Minimum 4 years in a similar role
- An ability to work to and meet agreed deadlines
- An accountancy qualification is an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills
- Strong PC skills including Word, Excel and Macros in Excel (Experience on Paxus, Efront or Yardi an advantage)
- Inquisitive and client-centric mindset
- Proactive and Forward-thinking
- Ownership and Accountability for service provided to the Stakeholders
- Willing to take a hands-on approach when required to support delivery and resolve issues effectively
