Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Development

  • Own and manage the product roadmap for AIF services in GIFT City.
  • Evaluate market trends, regulatory developments, and client requirements to identify new product opportunities.
  • Partner with leadership to define product positioning, service offerings, pricing models, and competitive differentiation.
  • Drive end-to-end launch of new products, features, or workflow enhancements.

AIF Category II & Regulatory Expertise

  • Maintain deep working knowledge of IFSCA regulations related to:
    • AIF structures
    • Fund accounting & valuation norms
    • Investor onboarding requirements
    • Reporting guidelines (regulatory, investor, and operational)
  • Interpret regulatory circulars and market practices to assess product impact.
  • Work with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Cross-Functional Coordination (Business ↔ Operations ↔ Technology)

  • Act as the central liaison between business teams, operations, fund accounting, CRM, legal, and technology.
  • Translate business or regulatory requirements into operational workflows and system specifications.
  • Support operations teams with SOP creation, enhancement, and change implementation.
  • Collaborate with technology teams for system upgrades, automation, workflow design, and Intune/product environment readiness.

Client Interaction & Change Management

  • Engage with clients to understand product requirements, enhancement requests, and process gaps.
  • Evaluate client change requests (CRs) and translate them into internal action plans with clear timelines and impact assessments.
  • Partner with CRM to ensure service delivery is aligned with product capabilities and evolving client expectations.
  • Conduct product training and awareness sessions for clients and internal teams.

Product Governance & Approvals

  • Lead the internal product approval process for new offerings and major changes.
  • Prepare product notes, regulatory impact assessments, risk evaluation, and financial feasibility documentation.
  • Present proposals to internal committees (Risk, Compliance, Product Steering, etc.).
  • Ensure that ongoing product enhancements are tracked, approved, and tested rigorously before deployment.

Market Intelligence & Competitor Benchmarking

  • Track industry developments in GIFT City, AIF ecosystem, and global fund administration models.
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking to maintain product competitiveness.
  • Recommend strategic enhancements to keep offerings aligned with market evolution.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Define KPIs for product performance and track adoption, client feedback, and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare regular dashboards for management on product updates, CR status, market changes, and regulatory updates.
  • Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8–14 years of relevant experience in Product Management, Fund Administration, AIF Operations, or Financial Services.
  • Strong expertise in AIF structures, fund accounting, regulatory frameworks, and investor operations.
  • Prior exposure to GIFT City and IFSCA regulations is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally with operations, technology, compliance, and client teams.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

  • Deep understanding of AIF Cat II fund structures and regulatory environment.
  • Strong product thinking with ability to convert regulatory/market insights into product strategy.
  • Excellent stakeholder management across business, operations, and clients.
  • Strong project management, process design, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously with tight timelines.
  • Proficiency in workflow tools, documentation, and product management platforms.
