Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of global payment systems including:

    • SWIFT (MT103, MT202)
    • FED payments
    • Internal transfers
    • FX transactions
  • Knowledge of global banking & settlement codes:

    • ABA, Sort Code, BSB, BIC, IBAN
    • RTGS, NEFT
    • Various global payment and cash settlement mechanisms
  • Hands-on experience in manual payments / wire processing, with a clear understanding of end-to-end payment lifecycle

  • Ability to:

    • Read and interpret Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs)
    • Identify missing or incorrect payment information
  • Process responsibilities:

    • Vendor invoice verification and payment execution via banking portals
    • Custody and fund-related bank invoice validation
    • Subscription and redemption payment processing
  • Operational tasks:

    • Mailbox monitoring and prioritizing payments based on currency cut-offs
    • Support global teams with daily payment requirements
  • Client interaction:

    • Handle queries via email and calls with clients and local offices
  • Reporting & controls:

    • Ensure all daily processing is completed and signed off
    • Identify, report, and escalate issues or delays proactively
  • Team & performance:

    • Work effectively in a team environment
    • Handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
    • Demonstrate flexibility to work in shift-based operations

Additional Responsibilities (Leadership Level):

  • Manage and guide a team of 10+ members
  • Oversee end-to-end Treasury / Payments operations
  • Prepare and manage MIS reports

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of payments, treasury, and banking operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in B.Com, MBA, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Hedge Funds / Private Equity is an added advantage

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in:

    • FX / Payments processing
    • Payment investigations
    • SWIFT & FED payment handling
  • Prior experience in:

    • Payments / Banking / Treasury / Transfer Agency (preferred)
