Compliance Officer

Description
As a Compliance Officer, you will be expected to be a trusted adviser, business partner, and leader to support the compliance matters in New Zealand. You will also work closely with the local business and functions and stakeholders pursuant to the Compliance Charter of the Apex Group.
Job specification
  • Support the day-to-day reporting requirements including monthly and weekly compliance reporting, periodic compliance risk assessments and analysis reporting, regulatory filings etc
  • Provide advice on compliance issues and regulatory requirements relating to the company's New Zealand businesses especially in relation to the FMC Act, AML, KYC, FATCA, CRS etc and other compliance-related issues and requirements
  • Ensure robust suspicious activity practices are in place and be the first point of escalation for any suspicious activity, and report such suspicious activity to regulatory authorities as appropriate
Skills Required:
  • A professional compliance qualification e.g ACAMS qualification (desirable)
  • Expertise in AML / CFT and/or Privacy Act compliance (highly desirable)
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver with analytical capability and ability to provide options and solutions to achieve results
  • Excellent people management skills at all levels and working independently and as a team player
