Senior Depositary Officer

Apex Group provides depositary services to a range of regulated fund types, underpinned by top-tier technology and workflow systems. This addition expands the geographic scope of Apex Group’s independent depositary services, with the Group now able to deliver depositary solutions in Luxembourg, Ireland, UK, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands through its subsidiary European Depositary Bank (“EDB”) and specialist local entities.

As part of Apex Group, clients will benefit from the simplicity and efficiency of a single relationship with a global service partner across the full value chain of their business; including custody, digital banking, fund administration, super ManCo and ESG Rating & Advisory solutions.

Due to the growth of our business, we are looking for a Senior Depositary Officer to join our team.

The Role & Key Responsibilities:

  • Review of legal documentation related to funds and fund investments
  • Assessment whether investments and divestments, capital calls and distributions comply with the fund documents and applicable law
  • Verification of ownership and maintenance of the asset registers
  • Support in the on-boarding process and ongoing review of fund managers, fund service providers and delegates
  • Maintain relationships with our clients and service providers
  • Assist the management team in compliance related topics
  • Contribute to the further strengthening of Darwin’s operational procedures

Skills Required:

  • A Bachelor or Masters degree in Law/ Economics
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in legal/compliance within the financial services industry (preferred Asset Management)
  • Knowledge of the AIFMD
  • Native in Dutch, fluent in English
  • Strong analytical skills and affinity with figures, good Excel skills
  • Pro-active approach
  • Team worker, self-starter, good communication skills, sense of humor
