Tasks / Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead the delivery of the fund accounting, administration & AML service for close-ended funds, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with fund governing documents and regulatory guidance.
- Ensure full adherence to the prevailing control environment.
- Be a leading participant in the continuous development of our operating processes and procedures.
- Be an escalation point for technical queries from all relevant stakeholders.
- influence and work with various stakeholders to lead the risk, Cost and Control agenda for Group
- Translate strategy into an operational plan for delivery and provide oversight and guidance to ensure organisational leadership and day to day business running
- Work closely with other global functional leads across Operations and wider CRM and Product team
- Develop and foster key relationships within business / product line and promote an environment of personal development and continuous improvement
- Drive strategic dialogue across operations and businesses to prioritize key initiatives
- Proactively analyse and identify possible risks and issues within the organisation that could impact daily process and service delivery
- Ensure stakeholder awareness, engagement, and support through effective and timely communication
- Support the development of an environment where people management and development are top priority. Coaches’ direct reports and others in the organisation, as appropriate.
- Develop talent within the organisation and active diversity leader within the management team
- Actively supports Groups strategy, plans, and values, contributing to the achievement of a high-performance culture
- Acts as a role model for all employees
- Create, drive, evolve and sponsor franchise initiatives to leverage technology and business process management solutions to reduce operational process and drive exception-based business management
Areas of key focus
- Performance analysis
- Analyze and report the performance and productivity of each team/region
- Examine and evaluating the Productivity of each Team
- Prepare internal reports for executive leadership
- Perform variance analysis to explain differences in performance and make improvements going forward
- Client Profitability
- Support the analysis, interpretation, reporting and presentation of data
- Ensure implementation of standardized processes and procedures
- Improve reporting processes
- Assist in Identifying cross/up sell opportunities in existing client base and maximise revenue for Apex
- Process development
- Review existing procedures, processes, and challenges to recommend where automation or improved processes could be implemented
- Analyze business from both senior management and operations team’s perspective to find adequate and effective solution design
- Support CRM team to ensure we have service level agreement agreed on fund accounting/deliverables for all clients
