The Role and Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring timely and accurate payments preparation and execution on behalf of clients of Apex Group.

  • Responsible for correctness of the Payment Instructions including control over payment details, intermediary banks and other payment terms.

  • Overseeing the work completed by junior payment team members and working closely with the wider team (accountants, corporate secretarial, etc.).

  • Ensuring payment transactions are processed diligently in accordance with internal procedures and AML regulations.

  • Liaising with clients, property managers, asset managers, administrative authorities and any service providers of the clients of Apex Group (such as lawyers, notaries and other).

  • Acting as the key customer contact for payments and develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Coordinating with banks (online access, execution of payments, addressing issues on payment execution, ensuring bank accounts have sufficient balance, and keeping our records updated).

  • Assisting with the design and implementation of updated payment preparation framework.

  • Contributing to the development of best practices and process efficiency by strengthening the supporting documents, policies and procedures

  • Taking initiative in payment process part of the development, projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Training new joiners on payment operations and processes.

  • Performing in accordance with the company's internal procedures and policies.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor or Masters’ degree in economics, business administration, Finance or similar.

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in payment transaction processing with experience in supervising and overseeing team deliverables.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills as well as a structured way of working.

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office products, Excel, further system knowledge e.g. SWIFT, treasury platforms, etc. would be an asset.

  • Ability to set priorities, be flexible and highly accurate.

  • Ability work successfully both autonomously and within teams.

  • Fluency in English is mandatory and additional languages of French and/or German is an asset.
