Holtara combines a market-leading sustainability platform with high value advisory services. Our Growth Team is responsible for shaping new propositions, opening fresh revenue streams, and scaling sustainability through our integrated platform and advisory offerings.

The opportunity

As Senior Sustainability Advisor Growth Strategy, you will help accelerate Holtara’s expansion in Europe by developing go-to-market strategies, originating new client relationships and translating advisory knowhow into scalable, tech-enabled products. You will work side-by-side with our Head of Growth, Deputy Head of Advisory and Product leads, acting as a bridge between market needs and solution design. You will also support on client delivery, particularly for new products or services.

Key responsibilities

  • Originate new business. Identify target sectors, craft outreach campaigns, write proposals and negotiate contracts—often partnering with Sales but owning the sustainability narrative.

  • Shape growth strategy. Analyse market trends in climate action, circular economy, social impact and responsible supply chains; recommend where Holtara should invest next.

  • Design scalable offers. Package bespoke advisory insights into repeatable workflows, data models and AI-assisted diagnostics that integrate with the Holtara platform. Your goal is to redefine our products and services so we can add more value more efficiently, at scale.

  • Pilot and refine. Lead rapid prototyping projects with lighthouse clients; capture lessons learned to improve the offer before broader rollout.

  • Support delivery excellence. Serve as subject-matter lead on select projects—e.g., netzero roadmaps, supply chain due diligence—ensuring alignment with our methodologies.

  • Build relationships. Nurture networks with sustainability leaders in Dutch and EU-based private investors, industry associations and portfolio companies.

  • Amplify our voice. Coauthor white papers, host webinars and represent Holtara at events to position us as a go to partner for sustainability growth challenges.

What you bring

  • Experience. 5 + years in sustainability consulting, strategy, corporate development or a relevant SaaS scaleup. Demonstrated success in business development or solution design.

  • Sustainability knowhow. Solid grounding in core sustainability themes, such as climate, social impact, responsible supply chains and sustainable finance.

  • Commercial instincts. Strong hunter mentality—comfortable setting targets, qualifying prospects and closing deals.

  • Product mindset. Ability to translate client pain points into structured, tech-enabled solutions; experience working with product and tech development teams is a plus.

  • Communication skills. Clear, persuasive storyteller—verbally and in writing—in English; Dutch language proficiency is highly valued.

  • Collaboration DNA. Thrive in cross-functional teams; adept at balancing speed with quality in a fast growing environment.

  • Education. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, Economics or a related field.
