Description
The role supports the Payment Team Lead in managing daily payment operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving process efficiency. This role involves hands-on oversight of payment workflows, team coordination, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to maintain seamless transaction processing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong operational expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced payment environment.
Job specification
- Execute daily payment processing activities, including domestic transfers, cross-border transactions, and vendor payments via banks, third-party platforms and internal systems.
- Conduct reconciliations and ensure accuracy of payment records
- Support the implementation of process optimizations to improve efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Stay informed about updates to regional payment regulations and support policy adjustments.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, ensuring adherence to SOPs and performance standards.
- Provide training on payment systems, compliance protocols, and workflow updates.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex payment issues and guide the team in resolving them.
- Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot payment/internal system issues and enhance integration.
- Assist in preparing reports for senior management on payment volumes, exceptions, and KPIs.
- Identify bottlenecks in payment workflows and propose solutions for automation or standardization.
- Participate in projects to adopt new payment technologies
- Perform other ad-hoc duties to support the team leader as may be necessary from time-to-time.
- Any other duties in the scope of the role that the company requires.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Certifications such as CPA/ACCA, CTP, or payment industry credentials are a plus
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in payment operations, treasury, or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior specialist role
- Solid understanding of various payment systems and cross-border payment mechanisms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills in both Mandarin and English (written and spoken)
- Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and attention to detail
