Head of Front Office Treasury

Role Purpose

The Head of Front Office Treasury leads all front-office treasury activities, including liquidity management, dealing and execution, relationship management, and risk oversight. This role is responsible for driving short- and long-term cash management strategy and hedging strategy execution while ensuring compliance, optimisation of cash and liquidity, and maintaining strong relationships with financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily liquidity and cash positions across all group entities.
  • Authorise and oversee execution of treasury transactions, including FX, interest rate derivatives, loans, and intercompany funding.
  • Ensure robust compliance with treasury policies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Own the investment and funding strategy for surplus cash and recommend optimal options (e.g. RCF drawdowns, term deposits).
  • Build and manage strong banking and financial institution relationships.
  • Monitor counterparty risks and oversee exposure management.
  • Act as the escalation point for any breaches in policy or risk limits.
  • Lead and develop a team of treasury analysts and dealers, ensuring effective performance management and capability development.

Person Specification

Essential Experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience in corporate treasury, with significant front-office exposure.
  • Proven leadership in managing FX, liquidity, and risk.
  • Strong background in policy compliance and execution governance.
  • Experience managing intercompany funding strategies and investment options.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Advanced analytical and decision-making ability.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with treasury systems (Kyriba).

Qualifications:

  • · Degree in Finance, Economics or related field. & ACT & ACCA
