Regulatory Services Officer

Apex Corporate & Advisory Services Limited is looking for an associate to work in regulatory services assisting the Malta Office. The primary focus of the role will be in relation to AML, regulatory compliance, risk management and internal audit to an established portfolio of clients in Malta.

The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:

Supporting the compliance function for regulated clients;

Undertaking sample checks as part of compliance monitoring requirements;

Undertaking of technical research which could impact clients and participating in technical meetings including presentation of regulatory matters;

Participating in client meetings, including Board Meetings;

Undertaking due diligence review, including tasks focused on proposed

investments;

Assist in the preparation of both internal and client reports;

Maintaining up to date client files based on client developments and updates and material information shared by the Compliance Officer and clients, including material correspondence with the regulatory authorities;

Preparation/updating of client regulatory deliverables;

Reviewing of published information and marketing documents.

Skills Required Candidates should:

be in possession of a University Degree (MQF Level 6) or a professional

qualification related to Law, Banking or Investment Services;

hold experience in compliance within financial services;

be knowledgeable in the applicable laws and regulations and their application

particularly, AIFMD, UCITS, MiFID, and AML;

be goal driven and show initiative to work without continuous supervision;

be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines whilst keeping an eye on detail;

possess good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

possess good organisational skills and be capable of working in a team;

possess good time management skills.
