Role description
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Business Manager, who will be responsible for the non-HR-led processes of executing the Apex Group incentive scheme and supporting large-scale sales operations projects.
The incentive scheme supports aspects of the role include checking commission calculations, communicating with potential recipients and managers at all levels of the organization and adherence with the agreed governance process. This is a critical role that ensures the smooth execution of a process at the core of our reward framework and answers queries that arise from the process.
The sales project’s aspect of the role involves managing program data inflows and outflows to enable effective program performance measurement, management and reporting.
Working within the sales operations team, this person must have an in-depth knowledge of Salesforce and its output as well a keen analytical mind and attention to detail. They must also be proficient in Power BI and Excel and able to model current state and forward-looking scenarios. In addition, they must be confident communicating across all levels of an organization.
Role responsibilities
In depth understanding of the Apex Group Incentive scheme and ability to communicate it as required
In depth understanding of the Apex instance of Salesforce and its outputs
Gathering incentive calculations from Salesforce (via HR systems)
Analyzing and reconciling SF calculation outputs with expected recipients
Rectifying any erroneous calculations
Communicating incentive values with managers and individuals to agree final levels
Supporting incentive-based queries as part of the payment cycle or on an ad hoc basis
Supporting HR to enable prompt and accurate payment of incentive values
Aligning regular incentive reporting to HR and other stakeholders
Supporting the execution of sales operations led projects
Ensuring data accuracy in performance reporting and building regular and ad hoc reporting presentations
REQUIRED
Degree in business, finance or related field strongly preferred
3 years + experience in analytical roles
Strong working knowledge of Salesforce and its outputs
Exceptions Excel and financial modeling skills
Extensive experience budgeting and financial modeling
Good communicator – written and oral
Self-starter but also good working in a team
