The Role:
Ensuring that clients are monitored in accordance with the relevant regulatory framework (AFMID, UCITS, etc), their fund offering documents, and adhere to the Apex internal policies.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Monitor unit creations/deletions, investment activity and cash transactions;
- Perform ongoing bank reconciliations between the depositary and the funds;
- Periodically obtain and review evidence of the integrity of the investment valuation process;
- Review fund pricing;
- Ensure the principle of unit holder equitability is maintained when processing unit movements;
- Monitor the fund portfolios to ensure adherence to the stated fund objective and the investment policies of the funds;
- Evidence that fund assets are registered appropriately;
- Ensure that investment ledgers are reconciled and up to date with those of the fund;
- Support the production of all necessary reporting to the regulatory authorities;
- Prepare the necessary materials in relation to oversight visits and reports;
- Prepare and ensure the accuracy of quarterly invoices;
- Respond to all client questions and requests in a professional and efficient manner;
- Regularly reconcile the records of any sub-custodians;
- Support the Depositary Manager in both day to day and training activities;
- Suggests areas for improvement or efficiencies to processes;
- Detailed review of formal documents;
- Reporting internally to the Depositary Manager
Experience and Knowledge:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, ADE, Business or a related field.
- Proficient in English. All applications must be in English
- Knowledge/experience of fund pricing, investment instruments and open-ended fund structures would be desirable;
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team;
- Attention to detail;
- Accurate time management;
- Work under pressure and deadlines;
- Excellent presentation skills;
- MS Office, specifically Excel;
- VBA and data base skills preferred but not mandatory;
- A flexible approach to work;
- An ability to work on own initiative;
- A confident manner and the ability to communicate with clients and colleagues effectively;
- To possess an ability to disseminate information and respond promptly
