Product Lead
Location : Auckland
Description
This role oversees the product development of the registry/transfer agency systems within Apex Investment Administration NZ.
Job specification
Architect and deliver a business-wide Quality strategy aligned to product risk, regulatory frameworks, and client trust
Understand the why behind the how, especially how customers and users interact with our technology today as well as how we might improve that in the future
Understand the business strategy and desired outcomes and articulate how our squads contribute to those goals and enable the strategy
Maintain and develop strong relationships with stakeholders
Develop Roadmaps and forecasts to provide visibility and keep stakeholders aware and informed
Work with stakeholders to prioritise work
Work with stakeholders and the squad to slice the work up into manageable chunks
Ensure products are developed with performance, resilience, support and quality in mind
Report accurately to stakeholders and Principal Product Lead on progress and changes in priorities
Consistently perform retros and monitor teams’ progress in terms of key metrics like cycle time
Facilitate key ceremonies – team sync, retrospective, showcases, quarterly lookaheads
Skills Required:
Knowledge of Registry/Transfer Agency processes along with general financial knowledge
Knowledge of IRD KiwiSaver and PIE Tax calculations a plus.
Solution and outcome oriented
Expert at splitting business and technology problems down, to help manage risk and deliver early and often
Familiar and supportive of CI/CD, automating pipelines, and engineering for cloud-native, highly available scalable systems
Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-sourced architecture and predictive analytics
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Excellent Azure Dev Ops skills to ensure smooth flow of tickets, calculate capacity, and report on progress
