What You’ll Do
The Director of Finance will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the organization and play a critical role in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and providing financial insights and guidance beyond the numbers. This position partners closely with the CFO and senior leadership to identify opportunities and work through challenges to help the business evolve and grow. The Director of Finance will manage core financial processes and provide data-driven insights that guide operational and strategic decision-making.
In this role, you will:
Financial Strategy & Leadership:
- Support the CFO in developing and executing the company's financial strategy.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support business planning and performance.
- Participate in financial evaluations related to investments, business initiatives, and strategic projects.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including operations, sales, and marketing to support financial objectives across the organization.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes to ensure accuracy and alignment with company goals.
- Prepare financial forecasts and conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Recommend actions to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Analyze and deliver insightful commentary on monthly financial and investor reporting
- Identify and measure SaaS key performance indicators
Cash Flow & Risk Management:
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational needs.
- Maintain a cash flow forecast to ensure covenant compliance
Strategic Decision Support:
- Provide financial analysis to support decisions related to pricing, capital expenditures, and investment opportunities.
- Collaborate with leadership to evaluate new business opportunities and assess financial feasibility.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to support long-term planning and performance management.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 8+experience in a senior finance role, ideally as a Director or Finance Manager with increasing responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner effectively with a variety of non-financial stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and financial modeling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail and ability to tell the story from the numbers
- Highly adaptable and independent thinker
- Experience with financial software, Sage Intacct, Hub spot and Power BIiss a plus
