Job Title: Strategic Pricing Manager

Location: Alpharetta, GA or Remote, US

About the role 

 

The Strategic Pricing Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's strategic decisions through insightful data-driven recommendations. This expertise will be instrumental in optimizing our pricing strategies, increasing profitability, and maintaining a competitive edge in the market. Collaborating closely with teams across the business, this role will drive improvements that evolve Aptean's pricing and licensing model.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, evaluate, and report complex pricing data both internally and across the market landscape. Translate this data into meaningful insights that guide the pricing strategies.
  • Market Evaluation: Identify market pricing trends and patterns and develop detailed pricing strategies and recommendations based upon current business and market dynamics
  • Holistic Approach: Employ a blend of quantitative analysis and qualitative elements to present actionable intelligence
  • Pricing Structure Enhancements: Assess, evaluate, and consider pricing structures and price points across the entire product and services portfolio and for new packages and offerings
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various functions, particularly sales, product management, marketing, and finance, to synergize efforts towards common sales goals. Develop innovative solutions and models to support sales initiatives.

 

About you

 

To be successful here you will need ambition, initiative, and tenacity. MBA or Master's degree preferred with experience in complex pricing structures, practices, and analytics within the software industry.

 

What you need to succeed:

  • 8+ years’ experience in market research & analysis, business development, business strategy or related field
  • Experience in pricing analytics, preferably within the software industry
  • Solid analytical skills, problem solver, results oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, energetic, motivated individual
  • Commitment to teamwork and experience of working within an international matrix management environment
  • Advanced Excel experience including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables

You must also have:

  • Leadership: Must possess solid leadership qualities with proven business results. Must be able to work with limited supervision and be accountable for actions and decisions. Must be skilled at working in a matrixed business environment.
  • Communication: Must be a strong facilitator with excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to interface appropriately and present product positioning and value at all levels (i.e. peers, management, customers).
  • Project Management: Must possess outstanding organization and project management skills, along with the ability to interact with a wide range of cross-functional teammates, buyers and customers.
  • Analytical: Must have strong data analysis and deductive reasoning skills. Must be able to articulate what was learned and develop a business case (where appropriate)
