About the role

We're looking for a Lead Engineer/Architect, Development to reinforce the patchOEE and Aptean Food & Beverage SaaS Performance Monitoring Solution in our Sassenheim office. This role is hybrid: occasional international travel: 50% Travel in The Netherlands and/or Belgium, 50% working from home.

Primary Skills:

  • Must have 6+ years’ experience of C# and .NET
  • Excellent system software architecture experience.
  • Must have detailed experience in SQL (T-SQL / CLR).
  • Demonstrated end responsibility for larger software architecture & software methodologies.
  • Strong client interface and presentation skills.
  • Through interpersonal and presentation skills, effectively demonstrate the capabilities of software solutions internally.
  • Identify and link functional and technical requirements to deliver an end-to-end solution.

Secondary Skills: 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft platform and Azure.
  • Knowledge of Agile product development processes.
  • Experienced in leading development teams (2-5)

Job Summary:

  • Accountable for the proposed solution (architecture, to-be processes) and the realization of this proposed solution.
  • Assures the quality of the solution and the related deliverables.
  • Monitors the daily progress, potential risks and issues together with the Product Owner, proposes and executes mitigations.
  • Leads the Fit/Gap analysis to define the solution design including to-be processes, solution architecture, integration design, migration approach and non-functional (e.g. performance) requirements.
  • Prevents and solves escalations from consultants, partners and clients.
  • Ensure that the team follows the predefined agile project methodology and uses the predefined tools in an optimal way and intervenes when needed.
  • Works in close collaboration with the Product Manager.
  • Takes initiative to be informed about innovations in technology, market changes, methodologies, best practices and develops internal improvements/innovations.
  • Shares knowledge and coaches Developers towards a higher level.
  • Continuously improves our project methodology, tooling and templates.
  • Reviews Functional design of given business requirements for technical solution and detailed technical design (TDD).
  • Has worked on Upgrade projects.
  • Worked on integration.
  • Worked on Performance tuning.
  • Basics of Azure Dev Ops.
  • Excellent understanding of databases and data structures, SQL.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and Problem-solving skills.
  • Dutch and English is required.
