2nd line Software Support Engineer



As a member of the support team you support companies using the Objective Software, and having questions or issues in ther daily operations within production and logistic environments


  • You’ll deep dive in the core of the Objective Software by reading and interpret the code written in Java;
  • Each member handles the issues indepently. To do this you’ll be analysing questions or issues, determine priority and take the appropriate actions. These actions can be quite different from determining and/or solving issues in the software, within databases, networking issues or interfaces to other systems or other software. It can also be small configuration changes within the application itself.
  • You’ll be in direct contact with the customers and colleagues and register in detail the steps taken
  • You ensure that customers are served in accordance with the agreed contract terms.
  • You maintain an overview of reported problems or questions, proposing solutions where necessary to provide customers with optimal service.
  • Along with your teammates, you will report to the Support Team Manager.


Your profile


  •         You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in (Applied) Computer Science. You are sufficiently familiar with Object Oriented Software Development in Java, to read the code, or make limited modifications. You have a good basic knowledge of databases and operating systems..
  • Affinities with business processes in a logistics and/or manufacturing environment are a plus.
  • You are an efficient problem solver: you are analytical, can distinguish main and secondary issues, and have an eye for detail.
  • You communicate fluently and correctly with customers under all circumstances
  • You are stress-resilient, can work independently, but also function well within a team.
  • You are willing, after an induction period in daytime regime, to also engage in on-call arrangement (24/7 support). To support our international customers, this position may in the future be performed in an early or late shift in combination with an on-call arrangement for nights and weekends.
  • You speak perfect Dutch and have adequate knowledge of French and English.eekend.
