Financial Analyst (On-site)

JOB SUMMARY: The Financial Analyst will assist Finance leadership with Management, Board of Directors, and Sponsor reporting, develop monthly forecasts and annual budgets, perform operating plan and forecast variance analysis, and create insightful reporting for senior leadership that will drive timelier and better business decisions. The Financial Analyst will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including helping to prepare presentations, and other projects requested. The ideal candidate for this role is highly analytical, can operate in a fast-paced, changing, innovative environment, with outstanding communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide exceptional financial and analytical support to senior leaders.
- Encourage a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Support the creation and maintenance of monthly financial forecasts and annual budgets, with a focus on department costs, expenses and headcount.
- Perform detailed variance analysis comparing financial performance with relevant forecasts and budgets, and create meaningful reporting to present business partners with actionable recommendations to drive more timely and better business decisions.
- Work closely with Management to support the creation of monthly reporting packages and monthly presentations.
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost efficiency, and perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
- Establish strong business partnerships with other functions throughout the organization.
- Partner with the broader Finance group on the financial close process to ensure complete and accurate financials.
- Work with Business Intelligence Tools and develop dashboard/metric reporting as needed.
- Respond to SVP, Finance as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate their requests.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to sit or stand and type utilizing computer for up to 90% of the workday.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting and/or financial planning experience required.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook required; experience using Power BI preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Health insurance industry knowledge or direct experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills required.
- Must be highly driven and self-motivated with strong attention to detail and record keeping skills.
- Must be able to prioritize and adapt to change in a rapidly growing and evolving business environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of individuals across the organization required.
