About the Role
The Betashares Practice Development Team is responsible for supporting the development of professional services firms that have elected Betashares as their main investment partner, either through SMA adoption or individual ETF positions. The role includes strategic planning, business development, and client relationship management. A Practice Development Manager identifies and implements new strategies, tools, and processes to help advice firms sustain and expand their presence while managing existing client relationships.
The PDM will work with account managers and firm owners to create and execute strategies that are consistent with the firm's objectives. They also conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities and use this information to develop strategic initiatives that integrate with the Practice Development Program's existing modules. The Practice Development Manager maintains relationships with key advice firms and internal stakeholders.
This position requires skills in strategic planning, business operations, and interpersonal communication. The role supports the growth of the Trellia SMA business and helps strengthen and maintain Betashares’ position in the market.

Role Responsibilities
- Identify and curate growth-focused content for financial advice businesses.
- Assist with business process mapping and CX strategies for planning firms.
- Coordinate SMA transitions with Betashares/Trellia account managers.
- Develop, deliver and implement PD modules (CVP, Business Planning, etc.) with selected firms.
- Create and deliver PD content for conferences and industry events.
- Evaluate and develop tools to strengthen adviser-client relationships.
- Manage ad hoc business support requests.
- Provide tailored in-house sales training to advice firms.
- Deliver workshops and educational materials to existing Betashares clients.
- Maintain and leverage business networks internally and externally.
Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years in Funds Management.
- Experience with A.I., data analytics, or digital marketing.
- Proficient in financial planning modelling and software tools.
- Skilled at building internal and external networks.
- Business coaching or teaching or sales experience.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong decision-making and prioritisation abilities.
- Builds rapport and works effectively with partners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Detail orientated with a focus on presentation.
- Quick to learn and adaptable to change.
- Self-driven with a can-do attitude.
