We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Graduate Operations Analyst to join the Betashares Direct Operations team.

This is a unique opportunity to build a career at the intersection of financial markets, operations, technology and product development. You will join a highly collaborative team responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Betashares Direct platform whilst also contributing to automation initiatives, operational tooling enhancements and future product delivery.

The Betashares Direct Operations team is built around the philosophy that technology, AI and continuous improvement should sit alongside operational excellence. From day one you will develop technical capability while building a deep understanding of investment operations.

Role Responsibilities

  • Action and monitor automated operational controls and exception reporting.
  • Conduct daily custody reconciliations across cash, positions and income.
  • Monitor daily trade activity and portfolio execution.
  • Support cash management activities including customer deposits, withdrawals and payment processing.
  • Process customer asset transfers and coordinate with external brokers and custodians.
  • Assist with AML monitoring and transaction review activities.
  • Investigate operational exceptions and assist in resolution of issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and reduce manual effort.
  • Support the development and testing of internal operational tooling.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives using SQL, Python and AI.
  • Support operational readiness activities for new products and platform enhancements.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives including future platform capabilities and operational scaling projects.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification (or near completion) in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Experience using AI tools to help solve problems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with structured processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Genuine interest in financial markets and investment products.
  • Curiosity regarding technology and automation using SQL and Python.
  • A proactive mindset and desire to continuously improve processes.
