Reporting to the PR & Communications Director within the Marketing team, the Senior Manager, PR & Communications leads the development and delivery of defined media relations and communications activity that strengthens Betashares’ brand, products, investment insights and spokespeople across mainstream, consumer, business and trade media.

The role owns the PR operating rhythm for defined priorities, shaping media strategy, narratives, campaign execution, measurement and continuous improvement.

This role provides sound communications counsel to internal stakeholders and spokespeople, working closely with marketing, product, investment, distribution, legal and compliance teams, as well as external agencies and media contacts. It is suited to a seasoned, commercially minded communications professional who can lead through influence, manage higher-risk or reactive media matters with sound judgement, and turn complex investment and market topics into credible stories that build brand visibility, reputation and trust.

The role is well suited to someone who has worked in-house with a fast paced, growing business or successfully led high profile accounts at a PR agency.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of defined PR and communications plans aligned to brand, product and commercial priorities.

• Own media relationships and proactive media strategy across our highly regarded investment strategy team.

• Shape clear, compelling narratives from investment, ETF, market and consumer finance themes, ensuring messaging is accurate, differentiated and media-ready.

• Advise senior stakeholders and spokespeople on media approach, messaging, interview preparation and external communications risk.

• Lead integrated PR campaigns, research-led initiatives and thought leadership activity in partnership with marketing, product, investments, distribution, legal and compliance teams.

• Manage reactive media enquiries and support issues management, applying sound judgement and escalating sensitive matters appropriately to the PR & Communications Director.

• Direct day-to-day agency activity, including briefing, prioritisation, quality control, workflow management and performance review.

• Set clear reporting rhythms and use media coverage, campaign metrics and stakeholder feedback to improve PR effectiveness and inform future activity.
