Betashares is one of Australia's leading ETF and investment management businesses, with ambitions to become a leading wealth manager and household name by 2030. The business manages more than $80 billion in assets across a broad range of ETFs, managed accounts and direct investment solutions. Betashares is entering its next phase of growth — scaling its retail platform, deepening customer engagement, and broadening its wealth proposition — and marketing is a critical driver of this growth.

About the Role

Betashares is seeking a skilled Video Production Manager to build and lead its in-house video production capability. This is a hands-on, end-to-end production role for someone who can move a brief from concept to delivery at pace — and who is genuinely excited about using AI-powered production tools to increase speed, quality and scale.

AI-assisted production is not an optional add-on in this role — it is central to the Betashares model for in-house video. The successful candidate will be as fluent with Synthesia, Runway, HeyGen and ElevenLabs as they are with Adobe Premiere Pro.

Key Responsibilities

Video Production — End to End

• Own end-to-end video production: brief, script, storyboard, shoot, direct, edit and deliver.

• Produce a broad range of video formats: presenter-led explainers, social video (Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn video), advertising (pre-roll, YouTube, programmatic), motion graphics, animated content, webinar recordings and event content.

• Manage the video production calendar and ensure on-time delivery across multiple concurrent briefs.

• Operate camera, lighting and audio equipment for in-studio and location shoots.

• Post-produce content in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects or equivalent, including colour grading, audio mixing and motion graphics.

AI and Modern Production Tooling

• Lead the adoption of AI-powered production tools to increase speed, quality and scale across video output — this is a primary, not secondary, responsibility.

• Use tools such as Synthesia, HeyGen, Runway, ElevenLabs and equivalent platforms to produce AI-assisted content efficiently and to brand standard.

• Develop AI-assisted production workflows that scale Betashares' video output without requiring proportionate increases in headcount or cost.

• Build a systematic approach to evaluating emerging video AI tools: assess quality, cost, brand risk and production fit; bring credible recommendations to the Director IHA.

• Train and upskill the broader In-House Agency in AI video production techniques, sharing workflows, prompts and best practice.

Brand and Creative Quality

• Ensure all video output is on-brand, visually consistent and meeting the Betashares creative standard — regardless of whether produced traditionally or via AI-assisted workflows.

• Collaborate with the Senior Art Director and Director IHA on concept development for video-led campaigns.

• Maintain and evolve a library of video templates, motion graphic assets and reusable production elements.

External Suppliers and Partners

• Manage relationships with external production suppliers, post-production houses and specialist freelancers where required.

• Brief, oversee and quality-assure all externally produced video content.

• Manage external production budgets with clear accountability to agreed spend.

Process and Collaboration

• Work within the IHA workflow: receive briefs via the Traffic Manager, flag resourcing constraints proactively, and deliver to agreed SLAs.

• Collaborate closely with the copywriter on scripts and the design team on motion graphic integration.

• Maintain a well-organised archive of all produced assets, including raw footage, project files and final deliverables.

About You

• 4–7 years of video production experience, with a strong portfolio across multiple formats and industries.

• Hands-on proficiency across the full production cycle: pre-production, shoot, post-production and delivery.

• Strong post-production skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (or equivalent).

• Demonstrated, hands-on experience with AI video production tools (Synthesia, Runway, HeyGen, ElevenLabs or similar) — this is a core requirement of the role.

• Track record of building AI-assisted production workflows, not just using AI tools on an ad-hoc basis.

• Ability to produce high-quality content quickly without over-engineering the production process.

• Strong creative sensibility and brand awareness — able to self-direct to a high creative standard.

• Comfortable working across B2C and B2B formats and audiences.

• Experience in financial services or a regulated category is desirable but not essential.

• Intellectually excited by the pace of change in AI video production: actively follows developments, experiments with new tools and brings fresh thinking to the team.
