We are world leaders in the development of innovative calcium compounds for surgical use. Our products target a broad spectrum of infection risks across a variety of specialties, including musculoskeletal infection, orthopaedics, trauma, spine, foot and ankle and podiatry. The STIMULAN® products are the first calcium matrices to receive approval to treat bacterial infection in soft tissue surrounding bone, and European approval for mixing with antibiotics such as vancomycin, gentamicin and tobramycin, for use in bone and soft tissue.
We are distinct in that our team of specialists is singularly focused on the development of innovative calcium compounds and all research, manufacture and distribution takes place at our headquarters in Keele, England. In 2022, Her Majesty the Queen honoured us with two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise in Innovation and International Trade in recognition of the impact of STIMULAN in infection cases and our outstanding continuous growth in overseas sales of more than 200% over six years.
Biocomposites products are now used in over 120,000 procedures every year and sold in more than 40 countries around the world.
BACKGROUND:
Biocomposites continues to experience dramatic growth, realising our mission to increase the number of patients we can help, by extending our market coverage in new specialities and new geographies.
The Market Access Manager will primarily be accountable for Identifying and converting new accounts across the specialties, whilst at the same time supporting existing accounts in order to achieve regional sales objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive acceleration of Biocomposites value proposition for soft tissue with STIMULAN®
- Develop strategic working relationships with innovators in soft tissue for STIMULAN®
- Develop a strong partnership network to set out the best success for the future
- Work in close partnership with existing UK sales team to drive uptake and establish implementation plans
- Drive and support successful Market Access activities including any Value Proposition (Value Based Procurement) developments, in collaboration with marketing
- Implementing national and regional strategies as defined by the National Sales Director UK
- Become a subject matter expert, with an excellent understanding of infection and related issues
- Identify strategic accounts and future clinical advocates
- Define and implement a plan to:
1. Set up key users
2. Work with Podiatry, Podiatric Surgery & Soft Tissue customers, along with any associated Microbiology/Antimicrobial Pharmacist, to gain Clinical Pathways and case studies
- Ultimately develop key clinicians and hospitals into advocates, willing to promote the technology to their peers
- To work with the marketing, and clinical & technical research team to define product positioning and develop marketing materials
- Participate at UK sales review meetings
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Medical device sales experience ideally in wound care, and/or orthopaedic and soft tissue/ diabetic sales.
- Medical background also desirable
- Sales growth of new product area demonstrated in previous role
- Existing relationships with the customer base

- Engaging and enthusiastic
- Driving license – car driver (with no more than 3 penalty points)
- Hours to be flexible due to variation in operation outcomes/needs

- Region covers M62 Corridor (Central/North West/North Central/North East/Scotland South)
LOCATION:
Field based within the territory with standard working hours (Mon-Fri, 9.00 – 5.00, 35hpw)
