Biocomposites, Inc., a US company based in Wilmington, NC is a subsidiary of Biocomposites, Ltd., an international medical devices company that engineers, manufactures and markets world leading calcium compounds, including STIMULAN, a truly absorbable calcium sulfate recrystallized for use in the presence of infection. Based in Keele, UK, it has global operations across USA, Canada, Europe, China and India.
At Biocomposites we are proud of our series of world firsts. For us, innovation is an ongoing process. Our continuing investment in proprietary technologies has resulted in over 100 IP grants and registrations and positioned us at the frontier of musculoskeletal infection, trauma, spine and sports injuries.
Our products target a broad spectrum of devices ranging from bone grafts to matrices that can be used in the presence of infection. Possessing unique characteristics for regenerating bone and managing dead space, our products are opening new possibilities for surgeons around the world.
We are distinct in that our team of specialists is singularly focused on the development of innovative calcium compounds and all research, manufacture and distribution takes place at our headquarters in Keele, England. In 2022, Her Majesty the Queen honored us with two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise in Innovation and International Trade in recognition of the impact of STIMULAN in infection cases and our outstanding continuous growth in overseas sales of more than 200% over six years.
Biocomposites products are now used in over 120,000 procedures every year and sold in more than 40 countries around the world.
Position Purpose: To bridge the gap between business needs and technological solutions, ensuring projects align with organizational goals and deliver value. This role is essential for identifying problems, analyzing data, and recommending improvements to processes, systems, and technology. In essence, this role is critical for driving business success by optimizing processes and systems, facilitating communication and collaboration, providing data-driven insights for strategic decision-making, and adapting to change and driving innovation.

RESPONSABILITIES:
- Driving Business Efficiency and Innovation:
- Identify Problem Areas: analyze data and processes to pinpoint areas where a company can improve efficiency, reduce costs, or increase revenue.
- Develop Solutions: working with stakeholders to understand business needs and translating them into clear requirements, ultimately developing solutions that address identified problems.
- Implement Change: to help implement new technologies, processes, or systems, ensuring they align with business goals and deliver the desired outcomes.
- Facilitating Communication and Collaboration:
- Bridge the Gap: act as liaisons between business stakeholders and departmental teams, ensuring everyone is aligned and understands project objectives.
- Facilitate Communication: communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, explaining complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Manage Expectations: help manage expectations and ensure that project deliveries meet stakeholder requirements.
- Supporting Strategic Decision-Making:
- Data-Driven Insights: provide data-driven insights that help organizations make informed decisions about resource allocation, investments, and strategic direction.
- Risk Management: help identify and manage potential risks associated with projects and initiatives.
- Adapting to Change:
- Agile Approach and Continual Improvement: In today's rapidly changing business environment, this role would be adept at adapting to new requirements, technologies, and methodologies. They are committed to continuous improvement and are constantly looking for ways to optimize processes and enhance business performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field like Finance, Economics, or Computer Science.
- Master’s degree in Business Analytics (Preferred).
- Strong foundation in business operations combined with advanced skills in data analysis, visualization, and problem-solving.
- Ability to utilize tools such as SQL, R, Tableau, and excel.
- Knowledge of ERP Systems and Software like Epicor and Salesforce.
- Commitment to continued education through certifications focused on Business Analysis and Data Analytics.
