Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the discovery, planning, development, and execution of your product strategy to meet the company's goals and objectives.

The Principal Product Manager oversees the entire product lifecycle for new and existing products, from product planning to execution. This position will also provide mentorship, guidance, and training to other members of the product team, and work cross-functionally to drive the strategic direction of our product suite and influence product growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing product lifecycles, understanding customer needs, and driving product success.

Core Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy: Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in line with the company's strategic goals.
  • Customer Insight: Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, ensuring products meet and exceed customer needs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and marketing, to deliver high-quality products to market on time.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation, through development, launch, and retirement. Lead large-scale, cross-functional product initiatives including related system integrations. Prioritize and manage an agile backlog of product enhancements and be able to adapt quickly to a demanding and constantly changing environment.
  • Market Analysis: Stay on top of market trends, competitor products, and potential opportunities/threats to ensure our products remain competitive.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use analytics, usability studies, and market research to drive product direction and define an effective roadmap.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate product plans, benefits, and results, as appropriate, to a spectrum of audiences, from internal stakeholders to external partners.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field .
  • Proven track record of successfully launching products and features in an agile environment
  • Strong execution-focus and ability to create an actionable plan amongst a certain degree of ambiguity
  • Strong leadership and communication skills that empower you to collaborate with and influence teams at all levels
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to forge strong working relationships with design, development, and stakeholders
  • Enterprise SaaS Product Management (minimum 5+ years) experience with a proven track record of successful launches
  • Advanced working knowledge of the Product Development Lifecycle with the ability to proactively suggest process improvements that drive efficiency and quality
  • Effective at leading through influence across multiple competing stakeholder groups with superior communication skills, both written and presented
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for a business audience
  • Technical familiarity and/or ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of asset management principles such as data indexing, OCR, platform integrations, and cloud storage across variety of cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of payroll, HR, accounting, and entertainment industry highly preferred
  • Experience working with Pendo or similar adoption metrics tracking system

Special Work Conditions

  • Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
The compensation range for this position is:
$120,000$150,000 CAD
